Who grants the product impact values are correct?

Most of the Cumulated Energy Demand (CED) values reported by Suasì are currently derived from Agribalyse, a database developed in France by ADEME  (The French Agency for Ecological Transition), INRAE  (French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment), and CIQUAL. This is a collaborative project between French public and private research institutions that has over time built a unique database, following the Life Cycle Assessment methodology. The methodology used complies with international ISO, LEAP, and PEF guidelines. The data is based on research and a network of experts.

The data in question can be considered accurate, although they should be interpreted as indicative since, obviously, the same product can have different CED values depending on the place of production, processes, logistics, raw materials used, etc.

Naturally, the variability of the CED value may be even greater when, for example, the CED value concerns a local product that is almost exclusively imported into France (or vice versa).

Another data source used for specific products is the EPD (Environmental Product Declarations) released by companies according to specific regulations. In this case, too, the values should be considered directionally correct (unless otherwise stated).

We invite you to contact us if you believe the values reported by Suasì are inconsistent, explaining the reason for this assessment.

Suasì is committed to updating and verifying the CED data reported.
